İçli Köfte (Stuffed Bulgur Shells)

Soak the bulgur in hot water for 20 minutes. Add egg, flour and salt; knead into a dough.

For the filling: sauté the onions, add the ground meat. Add spices and walnuts; cook through.

Take walnut-sized pieces of dough and press a hollow in the centre with your thumb.

Fill with a teaspoon of filling, carefully seal and shape into ovals.

Boil in salted water for 8-10 minutes; once they float, cook 2 more minutes.

Drizzle with melted butter and red pepper flakes before serving.
